GuardChek / Features / Guard Patrol App

The guard patrol app your guards won't hate

Geofenced GPS clock-in, NFC tours, incident reports with photos, SOS with audio, dispatch response. Battle-tested every night by a working guard force, on real sites, in real weather, on cheap phones.

Built for 3 AM, not the demo room

Guard apps get bought by owners and endured by guards. Ask guards about the apps they are forced to carry (we read the big platforms' store reviews in July 2026) and the complaints are always the same: crashes that eat a half-written report, batteries drained by lunchtime, GPS that calls an honest guard a liar. Every one of those failures becomes a supervisor's phone call.

The GuardChek app has a different test to pass: the founder's own guards carry it every single night. When something annoys a guard, it gets fixed, because those guards can walk into the office and say so. That feedback loop is worth more than any focus group.

Clock in with proof

Clock-in takes GPS inside the site's geofence: wrong place, no punch. Every shift start carries a time and a location, and every guard's profile carries a selfie identity photo from first sign-in, so the office always knows who they are looking at. "I was there, the app is wrong" stops being an argument. When a client disputes coverage, you settle it in thirty seconds.

Everything a shift needs, in one app

Schedule and shift details with site info and post orders. NFC checkpoint scanning for tours. Incident reports with photos, written on templates that match how security paperwork actually works, including arrest reports in a police-form style. Dispatch calls the guard can accept or decline, with a live status ladder back to the office. Shift swaps, vacation requests, documents to sign, internal messages. A banned-subject check with driver's licence scanning on plans that include the subject database. Guards stop juggling three apps and a group chat.

When there's no signal

Parking garages, basements, rural yards: guard work happens where coverage dies. The app keeps working through signal drops and syncs when coverage returns, so reports do not vanish and tours do not show false gaps because of a concrete wall. Updates arrive over the air, so nobody is herding guards through app-store updates before a shift.

SOS: someone is always watching

The SOS panic button with audio is included on every plan; we refuse to make a guard's safety a premium feature. On Growth and Professional, the full alarm suite adds geofence breach alerts and app-silent detection: if a guard's app goes quiet for too long, the office gets alerted automatically. A guard alone at 3 AM deserves a system that notices.

Put it on your own phone in the demo

Clock in, scan a checkpoint, write an incident report, hit the SOS. Judge it like a guard would.

Frequently asked questions

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone and Android, on the guards' own phones. No proprietary hardware, wands or dedicated devices.

Is the app included on every plan?

Yes, the guard app comes with every plan. What the app can do follows your plan's modules: every plan gets clock-in, incident reports, schedules and SOS; tours, alarms, dispatch and the subject database ride on Growth and Professional. See pricing.

How do I install it before there's a public store listing?

We install it with you during onboarding (iOS and Android both), and updates arrive over the air afterwards. Ask in the demo and we will show you exactly how guards get it.

What is the selfie identity photo for?

Guards take a live photo when they first sign in, so your roster shows real faces and supervisors always know who they are talking to. It lives with the guard's profile in your own private instance; your data never shares a database with another company.

Does it drain batteries?

The app is built for full shifts on ordinary phones. Location is used intelligently rather than hammered continuously, because the founder's own guards would be the first to complain.
